Every organization has a slightly different perspective of network management. However, every organization has the same view when it comes to their software - they want it to work, and they don't want to pay a lot of money.

I've seen many organizations invest in incredible expensive network management tools that would potentially provide them with incredible visibility into their network's inner workings. Unfortunately, these big applications come with big training and maintenance requirements. In the end, many of these monster apps are either cast aside or relegated to red/green network monitoring maps.

A better path may be the road most traveled, where users around the world are constantly creating, using, and tweaking network management software. The links I've provided on our new freebie page are the some of the best solutions available anywhere!
